He has a B.S. in Recreational Management & Sports Leadership from the Ohio State University and has been working in the field of adventure & outdoor education for 24 years.  He has been a trip leader, facilitator, trainer, program director, camp director, videographer, photographer, and program designer for a variety of organizations throughout the U.S. including Outward Bound and Renaissance Leadership. var larsDesc = "<p><strong>Larissa Kopestonsky, Summit Vision Vice President.</strong> Larissa is the vice president of Summit Vision and would much rather be outside than in the office.  She has a B.S. in Leisure Services Management and a minor in Business Management from Kent State University and a M.S. in Therapeutic Recreation from SUNY Cortland.  She has been working in the adventure education field for 15 years.  She has worked as a facilitator, trainer, recreation therapist, trip leader, camp director, and program director for a variety of organizations throughout the U.S. including the North Carolina Outward Bound School and Wilderness Inquiry.  She was formerly a recreation therapist in the Columbus Public Schools, working with children with severe emotional disabilities.  Her experience has included stints at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom and as a mural painter in central Ohio area schools and private residences.  When she is not working at Summit Vision, she likes to travel, backpack, paint, quilt, canoe, whitewater raft, snowboard, read, and spend time with her daughter, friends & family members.</p>";

He has been working in the outdoor and environmental education field for 5 years.  His experience began at Shaver's Creek Environmental Center in Pennsylvania where he facilitated team-building, high ropes courses and an adventure camp for 12 - 14 year olds.  He coached 8-18 year olds on Tussey Mountain's Ski Team in State College, Pennsylvania and is proud to have sent many of his ski team children to the Junior Olympics!  He co-taught search and rescue classes in Winter Park, Colorado and has rock & ice climbed all over the U.S.  Eric also enjoys canoeing in the Boundary Waters, backpacking in British Columbia, skiing, and drinking gourmet, micro-brewed beer.</p>";

He has been working in the outdoor and environmental education field for almost 10 years in a variety of roles.  He is currently the director of Geneva Hills Camp and Retreat Facility near Lancaster, Ohio.  Geoff joins us as a facilitator throughout the year when he can squeeze us into his busy schedule.  He has held a variety of interesting jobs throughout the years including contractor and football coach (for Kindergarten - 6th grade teams).  He enjoys hiking, backpacking, and almost all sports in his spare time, but is particularly fond of hooverball.  If you are unfamiliar with hooverball, it is a sport made famous by Herbert Hoover involving a 4 - 6 pound medicine ball on an outdoor volleyball court and scored like tennis.  It sounds like quite a workout!</p>";

He has spent the last two years working for Summit Vision as an adventure educator. He is currently working on developing a non-profit organization focused on providing life skills and job development for individuals with disabilities or disadvantages of varying degrees. During the school year she teaches at Marburn Academy where she is responsible for the Voyageurs Program (an outdoor education and expedition program). She loves watching American Idol (& incidentally knows the lyrics to almost any song ever written), skiing, wake-boarding, camping, rock climbing, traveling, swimming in the ocean, and hanging out with friends.</p>";

She has 22 years of teaching experience in Columbus Public Schools (mainly as a special education teacher) and has been facilitating adventure education programs for 20 years.  She joins the 7Summits Camp familily in the summers and brings with her a wealth of experience and patience.  Karen's other pursuits have included camp director, real estate agent, musician (guitar, keyboard, banjo & dulcimer), mentor for 12 - 16 year old girls and youth group advisor for teens!  She is retired from teaching but you wouldn't know it as she substitute teaches and works for Summit Vision throughout the year.  When she is not working with children, she enjoys reading, kayaking, hiking, biking, and skiing. Karen believes that Aldous Huxley knew what he was talking about when he said,\"Experience is not what happens to you, but what you do with what happens to you.\"</p>";

var kateDesc = "<p><strong>Kate</strong> has a B.S. in Environmental Education and a B.F.A. in Media Studies from Columbus College of Art and Design.  She has been facilitating in the adventure education field for 15 years and is currently working at COSI in downtown Columbus where she has brought in exhibits such as Titanic, Robots and Us, Heavens Above, Speed & Holiday: Science of the Season, and Star Wars.  She is an extremely talented individual who creates abstract expressionist oil paintings, sings duet karaoke tunes from  GREASE, and enjoys watching meteor storms.  She has worked at camps, trained and cared for horses, taught martial arts, cooked in a Mexican restaurant (where she made a great guacamole), consulted with organizations undergoing change, and performed workshops about bubbles (once creating a bubble large enough to surround a child)!  Kate squeezes Summit Vision into her busy schedule so she can play outdoors.  She also enjoys meditating (which helps her to balance her busy schedule)!</p>";

Michelle has been snowboarding since she was 12 and is pretty adventurous on the slopes.  She is single-handedly responsible for teaching most of the Summit Vision staff to snowboard!  When she is not working at Summit Vision, or her family's pizza shop in Pataskala (Mama Linda's Pizzeria), you will find her snowboarding, rappelling, backpacking, crystal mining, kayaking, rock climbing, or studying.  Michelle's primary focus in life is to educate and empower youth to accomplish their dreams.</p>";

var peteDesc = "<p><strong>Pete</strong> has a B.A. in History from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and a M.Ed. in Elementary Education from the Ohio State University.  His 10 years of teaching experience have included opportunities in Washington D.C. Public Schools, Columbus Public Schools, Williamsburg Public Schools, and his current position in New Albany Schools.  Pete joins the 7Summits Camp family in the summer and facilitates on weekends throughout the year.  He has been facilitating adventure experiences for children for almost 5 years.  In high school, Pete worked at 7-11 and can still make a mean slurpee! Pete is also a published author, writing non-fiction for young people as part of the Badger Biography Series.  His most recent book, <strong>Harley & the Davidsons: Motorcycle Legends</strong> is  quite an accomplishment!  He is currently working on another book in the series about Richard Ira \"Dick\" Bong, a high-scoring air ace from Poplar, Wisconsin (look for it in bookstores everywhere soon)! He enjoys traveling, spending time with his wife, daughter, and dog Hannah, obsessing about anything related to the Chicago Cubs, playing the guitar, basketball, softball, and most other sports, writing, reading, and reciting the alphabet backwards in under 8 seconds.  This favorite quote of Pete's really sums up his great sense of humor,\"If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving isn't for you.\"</p>";

He holds an Associate's Degree in Natural and Historical Interpretation from Hocking College.  He has worked in the outdoor education industry since 1999 where he began his career as a Park Naturalist at Wahkeena Nature Preserve in Logan, Ohio.  He has worked as a camp counselor and outdoor educator at Geneva Hills in Logan, Ohio and Camp Orkila in the San Juan Islands of Washington state.  Currently Tim not only guides beaver tours at Lake Hope but also works as a historical blacksmith to round out his multi-faceted credentials.
